In a world often overshadowed by despair, Ayaz Koc emerged as a beacon of hope, donning the iconic Spider-Man costume not just as a symbol of a superhero but as a testament to the power of dreams and compassion.

His journey, which began as a personal aspiration, transformed into a nationwide movement, touching hearts and inspiring countless individuals across Türkiye.

From tragedy to triumph

Ayaz Koc, a 26-year-old from Izmir, was no stranger to the entertainment industry, having worked as a model and in animation. However, it was the devastating earthquakes of Feb. 6, 2023, that altered the course of his life.

Witnessing the profound impact on children in the affected regions, Ayaz felt compelled to act. With his Spider-Man costume in tow, he ventured into the heart of the disaster zones, offering free performances to uplift the spirits of the young and the displaced. His efforts were not just acts of charity; they were messages of resilience and hope.

The 81-city odyssey

Driven by a wish to spread joy and bring people together, Ayaz embarked on an ambitious journey: to visit all 81 provinces of Türkiye dressed as Spider-Man. Each city he visited became a chapter in his story.

From the bustling streets of Mardin, where he engaged with locals during the Kurban Bayram (Eid al-Adha), to the historic avenues of Kastamonu, where he immersed himself in local traditions and cuisines, Ayaz's travels were a blend of cultural exploration and heartfelt connections.

In cities like Sivas, he faced the biting cold but remained undeterred, showcasing that true strength lies in perseverance. His adventures were not just about sightseeing; they were about creating memories, sharing smiles, and leaving behind a legacy of kindness.

A message beyond costume

While the Spider-Man costume became his signature, Ayaz's message transcended the fabric and colours. His journey was a testament to the power of following one's dreams, no matter how unconventional they may seem.
