Koc University Hospital ranked first in Türkiye in the 2026 edition of Newsweek’s World’s Best Hospitals list, earning a score of 91.80% in the global evaluation conducted with research firm Statista.
The Istanbul-based hospital also placed among the world’s top 250 institutions in the ranking, which assessed more than 2,500 hospitals across 32 countries.
Erhan Bulutcu, chief executive officer of Koç Healthcare Group, said the result reflected the institution’s focus on medical standards and innovation.
"Being recognized as Turkiye’s leading hospital is a testament to our unwavering commitment to clinical excellence, patient safety and innovation," Bulutcu said. "Koc University Hospital features the most comprehensive hospital-integrated training areas, clinical research units and translational medicine laboratories in the country."
He added that the hospital applies evidence-based medical practices and advanced technologies while providing care to tens of thousands of patients.
Opened in 2014 as the teaching and research hospital of Koc University School of Medicine, the Istanbul-based facility has more than 400 inpatient rooms, intensive care units, advanced operating theaters and multidisciplinary departments covering over 60 medical specialties.
The hospital operates within Koc Healthcare, an integrated healthcare system in Türkiye that brings together hospitals, clinical research units, translational medicine centers and medical education programs.
