Magnitude 4.0 earthquake strikes off Lebanon coast, felt in Syria

A 4.0-magnitude earthquake occurred off the coast of Lebanon on Sunday, according to Türkiye’s Disaster and Emergency Management Authority (AFAD).

The tremor was felt in nearby coastal areas, but no casualties or damage were immediately reported.

The earthquake occurred at 12:50 a.m. local time.

According to local reports, the earthquake was also felt by residents of the Syrian coast.
