A magnitude 4.8 earthquake struck Friday off the coast of Bodrum, a resort town in southwestern Türkiye, according to regional seismic reports.
Türkiye's Disaster and Emergency Management Presidency (AFAD) said the earthquake occurred near Amorgos Island at approximately 7:19 p.m. local time..
AFAD reported the tremor was located 124.22 kilometers from Mugla’s Bodrum district at a depth of 7.0 kilometers.
There were no immediate reports of damage or casualties. Authorities continue to monitor the situation.
