Italian singer Matteo Bocelli, renowned for merging classical and modern pop music, captivated Istanbul audiences during his "Summer Nights" tour on June 18, 2025. The talented young artist, son of world-famous tenor Andrea Bocelli, performed at the iconic Harbiye Cemil Topuzlu Open-Air Theatre under the organization of Piu Entertainment.

A night of diverse musical harmony

Opening his concert with the heartfelt track "For You," Matteo treated fans to a rich repertoire that included songs such as "Luccica," "Dimmi," "Solo," "Can't Help Falling in Love," "Besame Mucho," and the popular duet "Fall On Me" performed with his father. His setlist also featured classics like "Quando Quando Quando," "Can't Take My Eyes Off You," and "Caruso," blending Italian and English songs that reflect his versatile musical roots.

Addressing the crowd with a warm "Good evening," Bocelli expressed his excitement, saying, "Istanbul, how are you? This is my first performance here. I’m very excited. I hope we’ll have a wonderful night together."

A musical heritage and personal touch

Matteo explained the unique blend of his setlist: "I chose this style because it represents a mixture of the music that shaped my childhood. I wanted to create an intimate feeling. As you can imagine, growing up in a family with a strong operatic background, there were many classical pieces, alongside incredible voices like Frank Sinatra and Whitney Houston."

The audience responded enthusiastically, singing along and dancing, clearly drawn to his genuine stage presence.

Rising star following a legendary legacy

At just 27 years old, Matteo Bocelli has already performed on some of the world’s biggest stages. His passion for music began in childhood with piano lessons, culminating in his debut concert at Rome’s Colosseum. The 2018 duet "Fall On Me" with his father Andrea Bocelli has garnered over 400 million streams worldwide, cementing Matteo’s rising status in the music scene.
