Mohamed Hadid, the Palestinian-American real estate mogul and father of global supermodels Gigi and Bella Hadid, is in Istanbul to explore the city’s cultural and historical riches. Hadid, who has previously visited Türkiye, described the country as feeling like home, citing its cultural closeness to his roots.
“I was born in Palestine, and Türkiye is very close to my culture,” Hadid said. “I love Türkiye and its people. When I was a child, we used to travel to Iskenderun often.”
During his Istanbul visit, Hadid was accompanied by his fiancee Keni Silva. The couple joined the grand opening of The Levant Tahinier boutique at Emaar Square Mall. The event brought together key figures from fashion and business, including brand owner Huseyin Cevik.
Hadid answered press questions at the event, which also attracted high-profile guests such as Aslihan Dogan Turan, Ceylan Capa, and Lakis Gavalas.
Hadid revealed that his daughters, Gigi and Bella Hadid, are also interested in visiting Türkiye. “Their schedules are extremely busy, but visiting Türkiye is on their list of goals,” he said.
