According to the Ministry of Culture and Tourism, 3,252,769 people utilized the country’s free public beaches in 2024.

Speaking via his official social media account, Minister of Culture and Tourism Mehmet Nuri Ersoy stated that in 2025, the government not only advanced initiatives in culture, art and tourism but also provided accessible and high-quality public spaces for citizens.

A total of 19 public beaches currently operate across the country, offering free access, environmentally conscious infrastructure and facilities designed for ease of use. These beaches were reported to experience high attendance throughout the summer months.

Notable developments in 2025 included:

  • Capacity and facility expansions at Antalya Beldibi (Bahcecik) Public Beach, following additional landscaping and improvements.

Minister Ersoy emphasized that public beaches continue to provide citizens with opportunities to engage with the sea while promoting environmental sustainability.

He added, “We will continue to strengthen culture, art and tourism while building the Türkiye Century together.”
