Intermittent showers and thunderstorms are expected across Türkiye throughout the week, according to the Turkish State Meteorological Service (MGM). Temperatures will climb gradually, with northern regions seeing readings above seasonal norms, while other areas remain close to average.
On Monday, partly cloudy skies are forecast nationwide. Rain and thunderstorms are expected in northern Marmara, the Toros mountain areas of eastern Mediterranean, the northern and eastern parts of central Anatolia, the Black Sea region, northern eastern Anatolia, and the western districts of Antalya. Heavy rainfall is anticipated in the interior sections of the central and eastern Black Sea coast and the inland areas of Sinop.
On Tuesday, showers and thunderstorms are forecast for the southeastern Marmara region, inland Aegean, interior Mediterranean, southern and western central Anatolia, the Black Sea region, and northern eastern Anatolia.
Wednesday brings similar conditions to the interior Mediterranean, central Anatolia, inland Black Sea areas, eastern Anatolia, and the eastern parts of southeastern Anatolia.
On Thursday, rain and thunderstorms are expected around the Toros mountain zone of the eastern Mediterranean, the southern part of central Anatolia, inland Black Sea areas, northern eastern Anatolia, and the Sivas area.
In Ankara, partly cloudy skies and intermittent rain are expected over the next three days, with temperatures ranging between 24 and 27 degrees Celsius (75.2 and 80.6 degrees Fahrenheit).
Istanbul will see showers and thunderstorms in the northern parts of the city on Monday, with temperatures forecast to reach 30 degrees Celsius by Tuesday.
In Izmir, partly to mostly cloudy skies are expected at the start of the week, with temperatures hovering around 32 degrees Celsius.
