Singer Taylor Swift and Kansas City Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce are reportedly planning to get married at Madison Square Garden in New York City on July 3, according to reports from Page Six and TMZ published Friday.
Page Six, quoting several sources, reported that the ceremony will be held at the famous Manhattan arena.
One source said everyone involved has been told to keep details secret. Representatives for both Swift and Kelce did not respond to requests for comment.
TMZ also quoted a source who confirmed the wedding is set for July 3 in the middle of Manhattan, though the venue was not confirmed directly to them. TMZ reported that between 1,100 and 1,200 guests are expected, including singer Benson Boone and model Karlie Kloss.
Page Six reports that guests will arrive in buses with blacked-out windows.
The arena was chosen partly because it has many entrances and backstage areas, making it a good fit for a high-profile, private event. Reports also say there are no public events scheduled at the arena between June 29 and July 6.
Madison Square Garden is home to the NBA's New York Knicks, who are in the NBA Finals for the first time since 1999, and the NHL's New York Rangers. The arena has also hosted many concerts, including several by Swift.
For months, there were rumors that the wedding would be in Rhode Island. Page Six had earlier reported that the couple was considering the Ocean House resort in Watch Hill.
That location was ruled out after Rhode Island law enforcement and Senator Sheldon Whitehouse told TMZ that a New York wedding was more likely. The venue also denied claims that Swift bought out another couple's booking.
Swift and Kelce made their relationship public in September 2023, after Swift began attending Kansas City Chiefs games to support him.
Kelce also attended several shows on Swift's Eras Tour over its two-year run. In 2024, he surprised fans by joining Swift on stage during her performance of 'I Can Do It With a Broken Heart' in London.
The couple announced their engagement in August 2025 via Instagram, following nearly two years of dating.
The July 3 date carries personal significance for Swift, whose fondness for the Fourth of July is well documented, and coincides with the United States' 250th anniversary celebrations.
