Thunderstorms hit Black Sea, northern Eastern Anatolia as strong winds sweep Türkiye

According to the latest forecast from the Turkish State Meteorological Service (MGM), thunderstorms are expected in the Black Sea region, northern Eastern Anatolia and Hatay.

Authorities warned citizens to stay vigilant and take precautions.

Strong winds across other regions

Strong winds are forecast for parts of the Marmara, Aegean, Eastern Mediterranean, and western Eastern Anatolia. Wind speeds are expected to reach 40-60 kilometers per hour in these areas.

• Mediterranean: Mostly clear with partly cloudy conditions in the east; Hatay coast may see local showers and thunderstorms. Temperatures: Adana 34°C, Antalya 32°C, Burdur 35°C, Hatay 31°C.
