Turkish students achieve top honors at robotics competition in Czech Republic

Turkish students stood out at the RoboPlzen 2026 International Robot Competition in Plzen, Czech Republic, March 16–18, 2026, achieving top positions across several categories.

Competing on behalf of schools under the Bursa Provincial Directorate of National Education, the students faced 28 teams from nine countries in the line-following robot category.

Projects were evaluated on robotic driving algorithms, sensor integration, and vehicle design, with judges considering both technical performance and teamwork.

Top spots across categories

  • Fastest Autonomous Vehicle
    • Yildirim Vocational and Technical Anatolian High School – 2nd place
    • Bursa Boys’ High School – 4th place
  • Best Autonomous Vehicle Design
    • Yildirim Yesil Devlet Hatun Anatolian Imam Hatip High School – 1st place
    • Bursa Boys’ High School – 2nd place
  • Overall Best Vehicles
    • Bursa Boys’ High School – 2nd place
    • Yildirim Vocational and Technical Anatolian High School – 3rd place

With these results, Bursa students outperformed 25 of the 28 participating teams, and it also showed the city’s growing strength in STEAM education.
