Supported by the Directorate General of Cinema of the Ministry of Culture and Tourism, Türkiye's film industry connected with global cinema professionals at the prestigious Cannes Film Festival.
The Türkiye stand, set up as part of the festival’s market section, became a dynamic meeting point for producers, directors, actors, and international industry representatives.
The event featured meetings focused on co-production opportunities, international partnerships, and distribution prospects.
Türkiye’s growing role in global cinema was once again highlighted through the strong interest shown in its national stand.
Attendees included Birol Guven, Director General of Cinema; actor Kerem Alisik; producers; festival organizers; and key international figures from the film world.
In a statement, Birol Guven underlined the significance of Türkiye's participation in such a prestigious platform.
“Being present at a high-level festival like Cannes strengthens Türkiye's presence in the international film industry,” he said.
Guven added that the creative power and storytelling of Turkish cinema are resonating globally, and they were very pleased with the strong interest shown in the Türkiye stand.
The Türkiye stand at the Cannes Film Festival Market will continue to welcome visitors and industry professionals until May 21, serving as a vibrant hub for collaboration and innovation in cinema.
