Türkiye gaming market remains driven by 21-30 age group as CS2 tops September spending

Players aged 21 to 30 accounted for 57% of gaming and digital content purchases in Türkiye in September 2026, holding on to their position as the largest spending group in the market, according to data released by gaming marketplace Oyunfor.

The share was unchanged from August, suggesting that the same age group continued to shape the country's gaming spending patterns throughout the period covered by the report.

Users aged over 30 made up 38% of purchases, while the 18-21 group accounted for 5%.

Mobile remains largest platform despite slight decline

Mobile gaming continued to make up the largest share of purchases in September, although its share slipped to 41% from 43% in August.

PC purchases moved up from 32% to 33%, while consoles increased from 25% to 26%.

The gender breakdown also changed slightly, with men accounting for 55% of purchases in September, up from 54% a month earlier, while the share of women edged down to 45%.

Geographically, Istanbul recorded the highest level of gaming purchases during the month, followed by Ankara, Antalya, Izmir and Bursa.

Counter-Strike 2 moves into top spot

Counter-Strike 2 climbed to first place among games generating the highest level of in-game sales in September.

PUBG Mobile ranked second, followed by Valorant, Free Fire and League of Legends.

The remainder of the top 10 consisted of Mobile Legends: Bang Bang, Roblox, Lords Mobile, World of Warcraft and League of Legends: Wild Rift.

Among gift cards, PlayStation codes were the best-selling option, followed by Apple Store, Roblox, Xbox, Steam and Google Play gift cards.

World of Warcraft leads MMORPG category

World of Warcraft also moved into first place in the MMORPG category, referring to massively multiplayer online role-playing games in which large numbers of players share persistent online worlds.

Black Desert Online followed in second place, while Knight Online, Silkroad Online and Metin2 rounded out the top five.
