Erciyes Ski Resort in Kayseri, central Türkiye, has surpassed 3 million visitors during the 2025–2026 winter season, reaching one of the highest attendance levels in its history before the season has officially ended.
According to a statement from the Kayseri Metropolitan Municipality, the resort has continued to attract both domestic and international visitors thanks to strong snowfall and favorable weather conditions.
Snow depth on the slopes has exceeded 2 meters, allowing ski runs and facilities to remain fully operational.
Officials say the strong visitor numbers mark a significant milestone for the resort, which has expanded in recent years with major infrastructure investments aimed at turning Erciyes into a global winter tourism destination.
The resort operates under Erciyes Inc., a destination management company affiliated with the municipality. It manages 19 mechanical lift facilities and 41 ski slopes, with a total skiable length of 112 kilometers.
Cable car lines at the resort reach an altitude of 3,400 meters, providing access to a wide range of slopes designed for different skill levels.
Officials say March has become one of the most attractive periods for skiing at Erciyes, as sunny weather and stable snow conditions provide a comfortable skiing experience.
The resort expects another surge in visitors during the upcoming school midterm break and Eid al-Fitr holiday, which runs from March 21 to March 22 this year.
The student midterm break, scheduled between March 14 and March 22, is also expected to bring additional visitors to the resort.
Tourism officials say the combination of consistent snow quality, open slopes, and favorable weather conditions has helped extend the ski season well into March.
Erciyes will also host a winter sports event during the holiday period.
A snow volleyball tournament will take place on March 14 at the Tekir Kapi area of the resort, giving visitors the chance to watch teams compete on a specially prepared snow court.
Local officials say the event aims to diversify winter sports activities at the resort and create additional attractions for visitors during the peak holiday period.
With strong snowfall, extended skiing conditions, and holiday travel approaching, Erciyes continues to position itself as one of Türkiye’s leading winter tourism destinations this season.
