Turkish Ministry of Foreign Affairs spokesperson Oncu Keceli denied reports suggesting that Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu's plane was granted airspace permission to pass over Türkiye.

Keceli addressed the claims, stating, "The allegations that Israeli Prime Minister Netanyahu’s plane was granted airspace permission are absolutely false. No such request has been made to us." The spokesperson emphasized that there had been no communication or official request from Israel regarding airspace access.

Context of the allegations

The claims had been circulating in the media, but the Turkish Ministry of Foreign Affairs has firmly refuted them. The allegations claimed that that Netanyahu's plane had received permission to pass through Turkish airspace, but the ministry confirmed that no such approval was granted, and even no such request has been made.
