Interior Minister Ali Yerlikaya announced Thursday that Türkiye has secured the extradition of eight wanted suspects, three listed on Interpol red notices and five sought at the national level, from Georgia.

In a statement shared on X, Yerlikaya said, “We will catch them one by one and bring them back. We have brought back from Georgia 3 suspects wanted on red notices and 5 suspects wanted at the national level.”

Suspects wanted on red notices

According to Yerlikaya, the three individuals wanted internationally were:

  • B.B., sought for robbery, theft and escape of a convict or detainee
  • A.C.E., wanted for deprivation of liberty through force, threat or deceit, and robbery
  • U.G., wanted for intentional killing

5 suspects wanted nationally

The minister added that five nationally wanted suspects were also extradited:

  • B.S., sought for forgery of official documents, blackmail and theft
  • E.Y., wanted for theft and violation of the immunity of residence
  • M.K., sought for forgery of official documents and intentional injury
  • H.M., wanted for theft, breach of trust and theft through information systems
  • T.C., sought for intentional injury, forgery of official documents, and escape of a convict or detainee

Joint operation coordinated with Georgian authorities

Yerlikaya said the operation was coordinated by the Interior Ministry’s Interpol–Europol Department, the Justice Ministry, intelligence units, the Anti-Smuggling and Organized Crime Department, and the Public Security and Cybercrime divisions.

He stressed that Turkish authorities continue to track fugitives abroad with “meticulous effort,” adding that cooperation with foreign law enforcement played a key role in these arrests in Georgia.

“Regardless of the notice level, we will secure the return of organized crime members and drug traffickers to our country,” Yerlikaya said, congratulating those involved in the operation.
