Interior Minister Ali Yerlikaya announced Thursday that Türkiye has secured the extradition of eight wanted suspects, three listed on Interpol red notices and five sought at the national level, from Georgia.
In a statement shared on X, Yerlikaya said, “We will catch them one by one and bring them back. We have brought back from Georgia 3 suspects wanted on red notices and 5 suspects wanted at the national level.”

Yerlikaya said the operation was coordinated by the Interior Ministry’s Interpol–Europol Department, the Justice Ministry, intelligence units, the Anti-Smuggling and Organized Crime Department, and the Public Security and Cybercrime divisions.
He stressed that Turkish authorities continue to track fugitives abroad with “meticulous effort,” adding that cooperation with foreign law enforcement played a key role in these arrests in Georgia.
“Regardless of the notice level, we will secure the return of organized crime members and drug traffickers to our country,” Yerlikaya said, congratulating those involved in the operation.
