Türkiye’s leading defense firm, Aselsan, has reportedly signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with South Korea-based Hanwha Aerospace to collaborate on integrating the SEDA 100 Gunshot Detection System into new-generation armored vehicles.
According to the agreement, SEDA 100 will be installed on armored platforms developed for end users in the Republic of Korea, marking a new step in Aselsan's global expansion and strategic defense cooperation efforts.
The partnership represents a strategic milestone for Aselsan in its efforts to establish high-level collaborations with international defense industry players. The MoU supports Aselsan's ongoing objective to grow its footprint in the Asia-Pacific defense market.
Under the MoU, Aselsan and Hanwha will explore how the Turkish-developed gunshot detection system can enhance the situational awareness and survivability of Hanwha's next-generation armored vehicles.
The SEDA 100 Gunshot Detection System is engineered to identify the source of supersonic projectiles using advanced acoustic detection technology. It provides real-time shooter localization, even under extreme environmental conditions, including day, night, fog, rain, and snow.
Key features of the system include:
SEDA 100’s plug-and-play capability enables easy deployment on armored platforms without complex installation procedures.
