Bayraktar TB3 unmanned combat aerial vehicles (UCAVs) will conduct salvo strikes against land targets with MAM-L munitions as part of the Seawolf-II/2025 (DENIZKURDU-II 2025) naval exercise being executed by the Turkish Naval Forces Command.
According to a statement from Baykar, two Bayraktar TB3 UCAVs are successfully continuing their preparation flights for the exercise.
The drones, bearing tail numbers PT-3 and PT-4, took off from Kesan on May 9 and deployed on the TCG Anadolu amphibious assault ship.
Following the deployment, munition loading tests were conducted on the ship. The two UCAVs performed consecutive takeoffs and landings, with control processes simultaneously carried out via the Ground Control Station (GCS) on TCG Anadolu.
"All takeoffs and landings were performed fully autonomously using artificial intelligence-supported mission algorithms developed by Baykar," the statement noted.
As part of the exercise, the Bayraktar TB3 UCAVs with tail numbers PT-3 and PT-4 will conduct salvo strikes against land targets using two MAM-L munitions each. After the strikes, the drones will perform formation flight and ceremonial flybys around TCG Anadolu.
These missions will be carried out as part of the exercise scenario within the Distinguished Observers Day scheduled for May 14, 2025.
The Bayraktar TB3, which became the world's first UCAV to perform fully autonomous takeoff and landing from a short-runway ship, has completed a total of 24 sorties in tests conducted off the Saros Gulf aboard TCG Anadolu since April 22.
On April 25, 2025, the fourth prototype TB3 (PT-4), taking off from Kesan, participated in the testing process by landing on the ship for the first time. This marked the first simultaneous deployment of two national UCAVs on TCG Anadolu.
Selcuk Bayraktar, Chairman of Baykar's Board of Directors, observed the tests on site, while Admiral Ercument Tatlioglu, Commander of the Naval Forces, was also present on the ship.
