Pro-Kurdish DEM Party spokesperson Aysegul Dogan Wednesday said the party will be present in Sulaymaniyah on July 11 to witness the disarmament ceremony involving members of the PKK terrorist organization.

The "Türkiye Without Terror" initiative, launched following a call from Nationalist Movement Party (MHP) leader Devlet Bahceli, took a new turn after PKK ringleader Abdullah Ocalan urged the group to lay down arms. The PKK held its 12th congress from May 5 to 7.

In a recent video message, Ocalan said, "Details regarding disarmament will be determined and implemented swiftly."

Dogan said the DEM Party will attend the event in Sulaymaniyah to witness the disarmament process involving PKK members.
