Russian origin rocket booster confirmed

Further analysis confirmed that the object was a rocket booster from the Russian Pantsir-S1 air defense system, which is part of the Russian SA-22 Greyhound missile system. This particular rocket booster had fallen into the Black Sea after completing its operations in the air. It was carried to the shores of Karasu by the waves.

The Pantsir-S1 is a medium-range, mobile surface-to-air missile system designed to protect military, industrial, and administrative installations from various aerial threats. It can engage aircraft, helicopters, unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs), and precision-guided munitions, including cruise missiles.

According to Türkiye Today’s analysis, the rocket booster, which is part of the Pantsir-S1 95Ya6 missile, was transferred to the Underwater Defense (SAS) team for further examination. This system is designed to target and neutralize aerial threats at low altitudes.
