Turkish Interior Minister Ali Yerlikaya announced Saturday that 11 fugitives—six on the Interpol Red Notice list and five wanted at the national level—have been brought back to Türkiye from Georgia, Montenegro, Sweden, and Japan.
“This cabinet term, we have ensured the extradition of 427 fugitives to our country. We are on their heels—they cannot escape us,” Yerlikaya said in a statement on social media.
Red notice suspects captured abroad
The minister said that coordinated operations with foreign law enforcement led to the arrests of the following Red Notice fugitives:
- C.C. — a member of the organized crime group led by A.T., wanted for “intentional killing” and “illegal possession of firearms and ammunition,” caught in Georgia.
- M.E.O. — member of the “Daltonlar” crime group, wanted for “intentional killing” and “membership in a criminal organization,” caught in Georgia.
- E.Y.B. — wanted for “armed robbery, abduction, and unlawful deprivation of liberty,” caught in Georgia.

National-level fugitives returned
Five other fugitives wanted in Türkiye were also brought back:
- M.B. — member of the “Banlilar” crime group, wanted for “premeditated murder,” caught in Georgia.
- K.C.H. and E.G. — both wanted for “drug trafficking,” caught in Georgia.
- G.S. — wanted for multiple offenses including “assault, damage to property, resisting law enforcement, and drunk driving,” caught in Georgia.
- M.Y. — wanted for “membership in an armed terrorist organization,” caught in Japan.
International cooperation key to arrests
Yerlikaya said the fugitives were located through meticulous tracking of individuals who had fled abroad and were wanted for serious crimes. He praised the operational cooperation between Türkiye and the respective countries’ law enforcement agencies.
“These operations show our determination. Wherever they flee, we will find them,” Yerlikaya said.
