Turkish Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan said his meetings in Indonesia after his Singapore visit were “highly productive” for following up on the two countries’ multidimensional agenda.
Fidan said he was received by Indonesian President Prabowo Subianto and also met Foreign Minister Sugiono during his visit.
In a statement on social media, he said the talks focused on ongoing cooperation and joint steps across a wide range of areas, including the defense industry, energy, transportation, artificial intelligence and the halal food sector.
Fidan said the meetings included detailed discussions on projects aimed at reaching the $10 billion trade volume target set by President Recep Tayyip Erdogan and Indonesian President Subianto.
He said the vision put forward by both sides showed that Türkiye and Indonesia are ready to work in a way that would produce more concrete and effective results in the coming period.
“After our Singapore visit, the contacts we held today in our strategic partner Indonesia were extremely productive in terms of following up the multidimensional issues on our agenda,” Fidan said.
He added that cooperation between the two countries would continue in line with their shared values and goals.
Fidan said the talks also covered regional and global issues in a comprehensive way.
He said the discussions focused particularly on developments in the Middle East and strategic balances in the Asia-Pacific region.
Fidan also said close coordination between Türkiye and Indonesia on the Palestine issue would continue with the same determination in the coming period.
“As two brotherly countries, we will continue our intensive cooperation in line with our common values and goals,” he said.
