Turkish authorities detained 361 suspects in coordinated operations against the Daesh terrorist group across 39 provinces, the Interior Ministry said on Saturday.
According to a statement shared on the ministry's social media account, the operations were carried out under the coordination of the General Directorate of Security's Intelligence Department, the Counterterrorism Department, the National Intelligence Organization (MIT) and the chief public prosecutor's offices.
Provincial counterterrorism units conducted simultaneous raids in Adana, Adiyaman, Amasya, Ankara, Antalya, Batman, Bolu, Burdur, Bursa, Canakkale, Corum, Denizli, Diyarbakir, Elazig, Erzurum, Eskisehir, Gaziantep, Hatay, Istanbul, Izmir, Kastamonu, Kayseri, Kirikkale, Kirsehir, Kilis, Kocaeli, Konya, Manisa, Mardin, Mersin, Mugla, Nevsehir, Ordu, Sakarya, Siirt, Sanliurfa, Sirnak, Tekirdag and Yalova.
Authorities said the suspects were identified as individuals who had previously operated within the Daesh terrorist organization or provided financial support to the group.
The operations were conducted as part of ongoing investigations into the group's activities inside Türkiye.
Security forces seized unlicensed firearms and ammunition during the raids, according to the ministry.
Authorities also confiscated organizational documents, digital materials and financial assets allegedly linked to the suspects.
Türkiye has carried out numerous domestic and cross-border operations against Daesh and other armed groups over the past decade.
