Nine fugitives wanted internationally on red notices have been extradited to Türkiye from five countries, Interior Minister Ali Yerlikaya announced Tuesday.
In a post on X, Yerlikaya said the suspects—identified as K.I., O.E., F.A., Y.E., O.G., Y.K.C., N.C., A.A. and L.C.B.—were returned to Türkiye after being captured abroad.
Yerlikaya said the fugitives were apprehended in Georgia, Germany, the United Arab Emirates, Switzerland and Croatia, with the operations carried out in coordination with law enforcement agencies in those countries.
Several fugitives were wanted for serious crimes, including homicide, sexual abuse, armed robbery, and drug trafficking. The cases involve both violent and narcotics-related offenses.
All nine were extradited to Türkiye to face charges.
Yerlikaya thanked Türkiye’s Justice Ministry, the National Police General Directorate’s Interpol–Europol Department, as well as intelligence, anti-smuggling, organized crime and narcotics units, for their role in the operations.
“No matter which notice they are wanted under, we will apprehend members of organized crime groups and drug traffickers and bring them back to our country,” Yerlikaya said.
