Turkish Interior Minister Ali Yerlikaya announced Sunday that six fugitives wanted on red notices and two wanted at the national level have been extradited to Türkiye from six countries.
In a post on X, Yerlikaya wrote, “We will bring them back one by one; you cannot escape. We brought six criminals wanted with red notices and two criminals wanted at the national level back to our country from Georgia, Azerbaijan, Germany, Austria, North Macedonia, and Ireland.”
Authorities across Europe have arrested multiple individuals wanted for serious crimes, including homicide, sexual abuse, fraud, and drug-related offenses.
The arrests took place in countries such as Georgia, Azerbaijan, Germany, Austria, North Macedonia, and Ireland, reflecting coordinated efforts to capture suspects involved in organized crime and other serious criminal activities.
All eight have been extradited to Türkiye, Yerlikaya said, stressing that authorities are “meticulously tracking fugitives abroad who are under search warrants.”
He thanked the institutions and law enforcement personnel involved in the operations, adding, “No matter what notice they are wanted with, no matter which country they have fled to, they will not escape the Turkish police.”
