Türkiye welcomes Israel-Iran cease-fire but monitors violation reports

The Turkish Foreign Ministry welcomed news of a cease-fire agreement between Israel and Iran while expressing concern over reports of potential violations and calling for comprehensive solutions to Middle East conflicts.

The Foreign Ministry issued a written statement regarding the cease-fire agreement reached between Israel and Iran to halt attacks.

"We welcome reports indicating that a cease-fire has been agreed upon between Israel and Iran. At the same time, we are closely following statements suggesting that the cease-fire has been violated," the ministry stated.

Türkiye calls for full compliance with Israel-Iran cease-fire

The ministry called on both parties to fully comply with the cease-fire during the critical upcoming period.

"We call on the parties to fully observe the cease-fire during the critical upcoming period.

The Middle East urgently needs peace and stability more than ever," the statement read.

The Foreign Ministry emphasized that the Middle East needs peace and stability more than ever, requiring determined steps toward a comprehensive and lasting solution.

"In this period when the Middle East needs peace and stability more than ever, steps must be taken with determination toward a comprehensive and lasting solution. In this framework, we believe it is vital to keep dialogue and diplomacy channels open," the ministry noted.

Palestine issue at core of regional problems

The statement highlighted that recent events demonstrate the urgent need to resolve the Palestinian issue, which lies at the root of many Middle East problems.

"This process has once again demonstrated the need to resolve the Palestinian issue, which lies at the core of many problems in the Middle East," the ministry stated.

Türkiye lastly reaffirmed its commitment to supporting peace efforts in the region and providing constructive contributions.

"Türkiye is ready to support and make constructive contributions to all kinds of efforts to achieve peace in the region," the statement concluded.
