In a massive crackdown on illegal betting, 200 suspects have been taken into custody following nationwide simultaneous raids conducted as part of an Adana-based illegal betting operation.

Among the individuals detained in the sweeping operation is well-known TV commentator Rasim Ozan Kutahyali. According to initial reports, Kutahyali was taken into custody by security forces at his residence in Istanbul in connection with the investigation.

Nationwide simultaneous raids

The massive operation, coordinated by authorities from the southern province of Adana, targeted a widespread illegal betting network. Police teams executed simultaneous raids across multiple provinces to apprehend the suspects, resulting in the mass detention of 200 individuals allegedly connected to the syndicate.

Investigations into the network's operations and the specific roles of the detained suspects are currently ongoing.

Co-host previously detained

This is not the first time a figure from Kutahyali's television circle has faced such scrutiny. Former referee Ahmet Cakar, who co-hosts a TV program with Kutahyali, was also detained and subsequently released in an illegal betting investigation in recent months.
