U.S. Rep. Rashida Tlaib called on the Trump administration to impose an arms embargo on Israel and end U.S. financial support for Israeli military operations in Gaza.

Tlaib, a Palestinian American member of the House of Representatives, made the call in a post on the U.S.-based social media platform X.

“The genocide never ended,” Tlaib wrote. “The Israeli apartheid government is carrying out an ethnic cleansing of the Palestinian people, using bombs that say ‘Made in the USA’.”

She described continued U.S. support as “unconscionable” and added: “Our government must stop funding genocide. Arms Embargo NOW!”

Tlaib’s remarks focused on U.S. weapons supplied to Israel and called on Washington to immediately halt arms transfers.

She accused Israel of continuing what she described as genocide and ethnic cleansing against Palestinians and said the U.S. government should stop providing financial support.

Since October 2023, Israeli attacks on the Gaza Strip have killed 73,438 Palestinians and wounded 174,447 others.
