Azerbaijan unveils its 1st domestically-produced laser weapon Fireforce

Azerbaijan's first domestically-produced laser weapon, "Fireforce," was showcased at the fifth Azerbaijan International Defense Exhibition (ADEX) in Baku on Thursday.
Developed by Azerbaijani engineers under Azersilah Holding, part of the Azerbaijani Ministry of Defense Industry, the 900-kilogram weapon has a range of 1 kilometer and is mounted on a light armored vehicle.

With a 30-kilowatt power output, Fireforce is designed to target ground, air, and sea threats.
Valeh Arifzade, the designer of the weapon, highlighted its compact design and resilience to environmental factors such as humidity and dust.
Arifzade also stated plans to increase the weapon’s range to 10 kilometers and emphasized that all parts are locally produced, with the patent owned by the state.
