An explosion occurred at a building in the southern Iranian city of Bandar Abbas, according to Iranian media reports.

The incident took place in Hormozgan province, though the cause of the blast has not yet been officially announced.

Blast hits eight-story building

Iranian media said the explosion occurred at an eight-story building located on Moallem Boulevard in Bandar Abbas, which lies in southern Iran.

Following the blast, multiple firefighting and search-and-rescue teams were dispatched to the scene.

Casualty figures unconfirmed

The director general of Hormozgan Province’s Crisis Management Department said there were claims that four people were killed and 10 others injured in the explosion, but added that these figures had not yet been confirmed.

No official statement has been made regarding the cause of the explosion, according to available information.
