Iranian army spokesperson Brig. Gen. Akraminia said none of the enemy’s goals had been achieved in the war, arguing that Iran’s political balance remained intact and internal unity had strengthened, Tasnim news agency reported.

“If we make a short and quick analysis of the war conditions, we see that none of the enemy’s goals were achieved,” Akraminia said.

He said the political balance of the system was not disrupted and that unity and cohesion inside the country had increased, pointing to the continued presence of people in the streets.

Akraminia said national sentiment and attention to national demands had grown among both the public and state officials, adding that the Islamic Republic of Iran had been strengthened internally compared with before.

Iran warns countries following US sanctions

Akraminia said countries that follow the United States in imposing sanctions on Iran would face problems passing through the Strait of Hormuz.

“From now on, countries that follow America in imposing sanctions against the Islamic Republic of Iran will certainly face problems in crossing the Strait of Hormuz,” he said.

He also said the purpose of what he called claims of a blockade was to try to neutralize Iran’s management of the Strait of Hormuz through propaganda measures.

Citing reports published by international institutions, Akraminia said Iran’s maritime trade continued to flow easily.

He said only a limited number of ships had been seized, adding that Iran had also managed to prevent the movement and activity of Israeli vessels and seize them.

Army says Iran maintained military capability

Akraminia said the enemy had assumed Iran’s armed forces would not be able to resist or conduct combat operations during the war.

He said Iran preserved its military capability until the 40th day of the war, managed the conflict “artistically,” resisted, and carried out both offensive and defensive operations.

Akraminia said the enemy saw that it could not break Iran’s resistance and was eventually forced into a ceasefire.

He also said Iran does not trust the enemy in the ceasefire.

“Under these conditions, we have tried to strengthen our forces and capabilities, update our target bank, update and change our training if necessary, correct our defensive and offensive positions or continue making these corrections, and carry out the necessary movements,” he said.

'US entered infiltration operation'

Akraminia said the Americans entered an infiltration operation on April 5.

He said they used areas where they had tried to disable some Iranian radars through electronic warfare and similar measures to carry out the infiltration.

Despite what he described as the Americans’ use of very advanced electronic warfare equipment, Akraminia said Iran detected the move.

Air force operations cited

Akraminia said that in the early days of the war, when clashes were more intense, Iran’s air force sent its fighter jets on several sorties to U.S. bases in Kuwait, Qatar and Erbil.

He described Erbil as a center of counterrevolutionary and separatist elements.

Akraminia said the operations were successful and that Iranian aircraft returned safely to their bases from Iraq, Erbil and Kuwait.

He said Iran’s F-5 fighter jets returned safely to the country but that the Sukhoi-24 aircraft were hit on their return after carrying out operations.

He said this was because enemy air defense systems had been strengthened several days after the previous operations.
