The “EU–Türkiye Business Summit,” organized by the Foreign Economic Relations Board (DEIK) and the European Business Summit (EBS), will take place tomorrow at the Egmont Palace in Brussels.
Over 400 business leaders, ambassadors, ministers, and senior officials are expected to attend, including Trade Minister Omer Bolat, Deputy Minister Mustafa Tuzcu, Ambassador Faruk Kaymakci, EU Commissioner Marta Kos, DEIK President Nail Olpak, and DEIK Türkiye–Europe Coordinator Mehmet Ali Yalcindag.
DEIK President Nail Olpak said the EU remains Türkiye’s largest trade partner and emphasized the need to modernize the Customs Union, calling it a “strategic opportunity” for both sides.
He highlighted Türkiye’s renewable energy capacity, manufacturing strength, and digital infrastructure as key assets aligned with Europe’s green and digital transformation.
Yalcindag noted steady growth in Türkiye–EU trade and said both sides remain “among each other’s most stable partners.”
He stressed that deeper integration could create a political and economic bloc of 600 million people and $20 trillion.
The summit will feature panels, special sessions, fireside chats, and networking events throughout the day.
