The official spokesperson for the Houthis announced on Saturday a security operation that led to the arrest of an alleged espionage network said to be linked to a joint operations room involving the U.S. Central Intelligence Agency (CIA), Israel’s Mossad, and Saudi intelligence.
Houthis said on statment on social media that the operation conducted in several stages, uncovered “plots and methods” of the suspected agents after surveillance and investigative work.
According to the statement, the network operated through multiple small cells connected to a central operations room based in Saudi Arabia.
He said the network had been trained by American, Israeli, and Saudi officers and was equipped with advanced surveillance devices to collect coordinates and information on military, security, and infrastructure targets in Yemen.
The statement accused the network of providing intelligence that allegedly contributed to attacks on civilian areas and public facilities in Yemen and described the effort as part of a “joint intelligence escalation” amid Yemen’s stance supporting Gaza.
Houthis thanked Yemeni citizens for their vigilance and urged continued cooperation to “foil enemy plans,” reaffirming readiness to “defend the nation.”
