Türkiye provided substantial support to Pakistan during the country's recent conflict with India, claimed Lieutenant General Rahul R. Singh—Indian Army Deputy Chief of Staff—at a high-level defense event on Friday.
The support reportedly included the deployment of Bayraktar drones and military experts on the ground, according to Singh who said the assistance enabled Pakistan to accurately identify the positions of Indian forces.
Singh added that China also provided direct intelligence support. The combined Turkish-Chinese assistance, he said, enabled Pakistan to establish an integrated C4ISR system—Command, Control, Communications, Computers, Intelligence, Surveillance, and Reconnaissance—enhancing its battlefield awareness and coordination. “That’s why we must immediately develop our own C4ISR systems,” he stressed.
Describing the evolving threat landscape, Lt Gen Singh pointed out that India was dealing with three adversaries on one border. "Pakistan was at the front, China was providing all possible support, and Türkiye's involvement was evident," he said.
The Deputy COAS revealed that 81% of Pakistan's military hardware comes from China, effectively turning Pakistan into a testing ground for Chinese defense technology. "China is able to test its weapons against other weapons, so it's like a live lab available to them," he cautioned.
Today, in parallel with these statements, President Recep Tayyip Erdogan met with Pakistani Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif during his visit to the Azerbaijani city of Khankendi to attend the 17th Economic Cooperation Organization (ECO) Summit as part of his official engagements.
