President Recep Tayyip Erdogan has strongly condemned a deadly terrorist attack in Pakistan’s Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province, which killed at least 13 soldiers near the Afghan border, according to the Pakistani military.
In a statement shared on social media on Sunday, Erdogan expressed his condolences to the families of the victims and wished a swift recovery for the injured.
"I pray to Allah for mercy on our Pakistani brothers and sisters who lost their lives in the attack and wish a speedy recovery to the wounded," the president noted.

I convey my condolences to the friendly and brotherly people and government of Pakistan," Erdogan said.
The president emphasized Ankara's continued commitment to standing by Pakistan in its efforts to combat terrorism.
"As always, Türkiye will continue to stand by our longstanding friend Pakistan in its fight against terrorism," Erdogan said, adding that Ankara stands by "our brothers not only in joyful times but also during difficult days."
The attack took place on Saturday and was followed by military operations in which 14 terrorists were reported killed, according to the Pakistani army.
Senior Turkish officials expressed condolences and solidarity with Pakistan in the wake of the attack.
Türkiye's ruling Justice and Development Party (AK Party) Deputy Chairman Efkan Ala condemned the assault via social media, stating, "We are deeply saddened by the loss of lives caused by this heinous attack."
"We condemn this act of terrorism and extend our condolences to the people and government of Pakistan. May Allah grant mercy to those who lost their lives and swift recovery to the injured."
AK Party Spokesperson Omer Celik echoed similar sentiments, writing, "We condemn this terrorist attack. Our hearts and support are with our brotherly nation, Pakistan."
Fahrettin Altun, Türkiye's head of the Directorate of Communications, also strongly condemned the terror attack and said: "We pray for Allah's mercy on our brothers and sisters who lost their lives in the attack, extend our condolences to their families and the people of Pakistan, and wish a speedy recovery to those injured."
"As Türkiye, we will, as always, stand by our friend and brother Pakistan, continuing to provide all kinds of support to our brothers and sisters," he added.
The attack occurred in the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province, where a bomber targeted the military convoy with a vehicle-borne improvised explosive device, according to a local government official who spoke on condition of anonymity because he was not authorized to discuss the incident publicly.
The blast's impact extended beyond the military target, causing structural damage to nearby residential areas.
"The explosion also caused the roofs of two houses to collapse, injuring six children," a police officer stationed in the district told Agence France-Presse (AFP).
