Hezbollah Secretary-General Sheikh Naim Qassem stated on Monday that there is "no ceasefire" in Lebanon. He characterized the ongoing situation as relentless Israeli-U.S. aggression and cautioned that the nation has reached a highly dangerous period in its history.

He accused Israel of failing to implement “a single step” of the ceasefire agreement and "violating it more than 10,000 times."

In a statement on the latest developments in Lebanon, Qassem said that the resistance, with the backing of the Lebanese people and its supporters, successfully confronted the enemy despite limited personnel and equipment. He added that they honored their martyrs, blocked the enemy from reaching its goals, and are maintaining their resistance.

Qassem says Lebanon is under attack

Qassem said Lebanon was the side facing aggression and that it needed guarantees to preserve its security and sovereignty.

“What is being called a ceasefire in Lebanon is continuous Israeli-American aggression,” he said.

He said the Israeli enemy had not implemented “a single step” of the ceasefire agreement and had violated it numerous times.

Hezbollah chief warns of ‘dangerous stage’

Qassem said Lebanon, the region, and future generations were going through an unprecedented, difficult phase.

“We are facing a dangerous stage in the history of our region, the future of our country and our generations,” he said.

He said the “Zionist enemy” was acting with U.S. support and management, along with other colonial countries.

'Resistance prevented enemy goals'

Qassem said the enemy had not been able to take any step toward “Greater Israel” and would never reach that goal.

He said this would remain the case “even if all the savages of the world” joined the enemy.

Qassem also said the resistance and the Lebanese people had shown a “legendary” performance that surprised both enemies and friends.

'Do not stab resistance in back'

Qassem said the Lebanese army had been deployed south of the Litani River to help implement the agreement.

He said the resistance had also chosen methods that were compatible with the current conditions. “There are no red lines, and there is no buffer zone. There will not be one either,” Qassem said.

Qassem also addressed politicians based in Beirut, warning them against undermining the resistance.

“Do not stab the resistance in the back,” he said.
