At least seven civilians, including women and children, were killed and 11 others injured in an Israeli airstrike on a residential building in Damascus, Syria’s state media reported Wednesday.
According to Syria's SANA news agency, the strike targeted the densely populated Mezzeh neighborhood, with three missiles fired from the occupied Golan Heights. "The Israeli enemy launched an airstrike... targeting a residential building in the Mezzeh neighborhood," the report said, citing an unnamed military source.
The attack caused significant material damage, with rescue operations underway to save those trapped under the rubble.

Meanwhile, Iran’s state-run IRNA news agency reported that Israel had struck a building near the Iranian embassy in Damascus. Meanwhile, Mazzeh neighborhood of Damascus is an area known for housing security headquarters and several embassies.
Israel has conducted airstrikes in Syria since 2011, primarily targeting government forces, Iranian military personnel, and Hezbollah positions.
