The Israeli military warned Iranian civilians Tuesday not to use trains anywhere in the country until 9 p.m. local time, saying their presence near railway lines "endangers your life."

Tel Aviv reportedly awaits U.S. President Donald Trump's decision on whether to proceed with strikes on Iranian energy and infrastructure targets.

According to an Israeli source cited by an Israeli media figure, "Today, the railway infrastructure in Iran will be attacked."

Israel issues warning: Stay away from trains and railway lines

The Israeli military's Farsi-language channel on X posted the warning Tuesday morning.

"Dear Citizens, for the sake of your security, we kindly request that from this moment until 21:00 Iran time, you refrain from using and traveling by train throughout Iran. Your presence on trains and near railway lines endangers your life," the Israeli army said in the post.

Israel has approved target list, awaits Trump's decision

Israel has approved an updated list of energy and infrastructure targets in Iran and is awaiting Trump's decision to proceed, CNN reported Monday, citing Israeli sources.

"Israel is awaiting Trump's decision on the next steps, but we have additional plans for the upcoming weeks pending an American green light," an Israeli security official told CNN.

"Israel remains highly skeptical that a diplomatic deal with Iran is achievable," a second Israeli source said, adding that Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has conveyed concerns to Trump about possible ceasefire agreements. He stressed that "Israel believes any ceasefire must require Iran to hand over all of its enriched uranium and commit to a complete halt of its enrichment activities."

Netanyahu and Trump also spoke by phone Sunday evening following the rescue of two American pilots shot down over Iran, according to CNN.

An Israeli source briefed on the call said the two leaders discussed diplomatic prospects as well as further military coordination between Israel and the U.S. in Iran.

Regional tensions have escalated since the U.S. and Israel launched a joint offensive on Iran on Feb. 28, killing more than 1,340 people to date, including then-Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei.

Iran has retaliated with drone and missile strikes targeting Israel, as well as Jordan, Iraq and Gulf countries hosting U.S. military assets, and has restricted movement through the Strait of Hormuz.
