Arab and Islamic nations issued a forceful condemnation of Israel's attack on Qatar during an extraordinary joint summit, declaring the strike an assault on all member states and pledging coordinated resistance to Israeli expansion plans.

The Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) and Arab League convened emergency talks in Qatar's capital following the Israeli strike, producing a joint statement that framed the incident as a broader threat to regional sovereignty.

"We condemn in the strongest terms Israel's cowardly and illegal attack carried out in Qatar's capital Doha," the final communique stated. "We confirm that this attack is an assault on all Arab and Islamic states."

Leaders pledge unified support for Qatar's response

The 57-member OIC, which represents Muslim-majority nations worldwide, joined with the 22-member Arab League to present a unified front against what they characterized as Israeli aggression. The organizations pledged to support Qatar's response under United Nations Charter provisions and rejected any future Israeli threats against Arab or Islamic countries.

Leaders emphasized their collective support for Qatar in confronting what they termed Israeli aggression, signaling potential coordinated diplomatic or economic measures. The final communique called on all member states to review their relationships with Israel.

Summit addresses broader concerns about regional expansion

The summit's declaration went beyond condemning the specific attack, addressing broader concerns about Israeli policy in the region. "We reiterate that Israel's plans to impose new facts on the ground in the region must be confronted and fought against," the statement read.

The gathering comes as one of the most significant diplomatic responses to Israeli actions, bringing together nations that have historically disagreed on regional issues. The joint statement described the attack as "a clear violation of sovereignty and a serious threat to regional peace."
