NATO has strongly condemned Iran's recent targeting of Türkiye, emphasizing that the alliance stands firmly with its member states amid escalating regional tensions.
Speaking to Reuters, a NATO spokesperson Allison Hart affirmed the alliance's unwavering commitment to defending all its allies, specifically mentioning Türkiye in light of Iran's ongoing regional attacks.
"We condemn Iran's targeting of Türkiye. NATO stands firmly with all allies, including Turkiye, as Iran continues its indiscriminate attacks across the region," she said.
"Our deterrence and defence posture remains strong across all domains, including when it comes to air and missile defence," she added.

This statement follows reports from Turkish authorities confirming that NATO defense systems successfully intercepted a ballistic missile fired from Iran, which was heading toward Turkish airspace.
