Over 42,000 civilian structures have been damaged in U.S.-Israeli airstrikes on Iran since the start of the war, the Iranian Red Crescent Society said Saturday.
Meanwhile, Israel claimed strikes on Iran's Space Agency headquarters and air defense production facilities, while Iranian authorities announced the arrest of 23 people linked to alleged U.S.-Israeli spy cells.
The Iranian Red Crescent Society said in a statement on Telegram that 42,914 civilian buildings have sustained damage so far, including 36,489 residential units and 6,179 commercial facilities.
Around 10,000 of the damaged homes are located in the capital, Tehran, which has been among the areas most heavily hit by the strikes.
Since Israel and the U.S. launched joint attacks on Iran on Feb. 28, killing some 1,200 people, including then-Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei, hostilities have escalated.
According to Iranian officials, U.S.-Israeli strikes have killed more than 1,348 people and wounded more than 17,000.
Iran has retaliated with drone and missile strikes targeting Israel, Jordan, Iraq and Gulf countries hosting U.S. military assets.
The Israeli army claimed it targeted Iran's Space Agency headquarters and an air defense system production facility in strikes carried out on Friday.
The army said it targeted dozens of infrastructure facilities belonging to the Iranian government across Tehran, including what it described as Iran's main space research center.
The army alleged that the center houses strategic laboratories used for research, including the development of military satellites for surveillance, intelligence gathering, and offensive purposes.
It also claimed to have struck air defense system production facilities, saying the strikes would make it more difficult for Iran to rebuild its air defense capabilities.
Iran also announced that 23 people were detained in operations targeting alleged mercenary cells linked to the U.S. and Israel across three provinces, Iran's state television reported, citing the Intelligence Ministry.
A 10-member cell was arrested in Mazandaran province after intelligence work and public tip-offs identified it as planning operations targeting national security.
Ten more people described as cooperating with "terrorist media linked to the enemy" were detained in Razavi Khorasan province.
A separate group of three people said to have been directed from abroad was arrested in Khuzestan Province, where authorities said the group had carried out armed attacks on security forces and some public buildings, including the provincial governor's office, in recent days.
Two Kalashnikov rifles and ammunition were seized during the operation.
