Turkish security sources have accused domestic opposition groups of supporting Israeli perception operations through social media, claiming these efforts aim to destabilize Türkiye and the broader Middle East region.

Security sources, analyzing recent Israeli military actions in Gaza, Qatar, Iran and Syria, stated that the "Zionist regime" seeks to portray itself as more powerful than reality while conducting psychological operations against regional countries, including Türkiye.

"Israel took a major blow in the Iran attack. Recovery will take several years. But they portray this lost war as won," security sources said.

"They promote failed operations as successful."

Israel's regional strategy questioned

The sources emphasized that Israel's actual power depends heavily on American and European support. "If the U.S. weren't there, Israel would be a 'zero' in terms of power," they stated.

According to the analysis, Israel attempts to appear as a more powerful and threatening country than it actually is to disrupt peace, stability and tranquility in the region.

Security sources highlighted Israel's use of intelligence channels to spread disinformation.

"They make it seem like the other side's intelligence organization is saying what they want. They have people say: 'Israel will attack Türkiye.' Such a situation cannot even be considered," the sources noted, adding that Israel knows Türkiye's military strength is substantial.

Syria division concerns

Security sources expressed concern about efforts to divide Syria, stating that while the new Syrian regime works toward stability, external forces support armed groups, including the SDF, which contains terrorist group PKK-affiliated PYD/YPG elements.

"They encourage the SDF for armed struggle. They create propaganda material for internal conflict," sources said.

Call for regional alternatives

The sources identified the upcoming U.N. summit in late January as a potential turning point for Palestine and Gaza, noting that some European countries may recognize Palestine as a state while Israel attempts to prevent this.

"The meeting between our President Recep Tayyip Erdogan and U.S. President Trump is of great importance for ensuring peace, ceasefire, and stability in the Middle East," they stated.

Security sources urged regional countries to seek alternatives to U.S. dependency.

"Countries that are allied with the U.S. should research new alternatives. They should free themselves from dependence on America," they said, suggesting expanded cooperation with Türkiye's advanced defense industry.

Steel Dome defense system progress

Regarding domestic security, sources expressed "cautious optimism" about Türkiye's terror-free process, stating that disarmament within the country represents only one aspect that must continue progressing in Iraq and Syria.

The sources praised Türkiye's Steel Dome defense system as a valuable achievement in the defense industry. "When it enters service with all its elements, it will be seen as an excellent system.

The system will not only prevent air attacks but also protect our borders and seas," they explained.

"The Steel Dome, which will be established at various points in our country, will also immediately activate against an attack on Türkiye's strategic institutions and facilities," sources concluded.
