KAN news cited Israeli authorities saying that initial optimism about the strike’s outcome has given way to a more pessimistic assessment.

An unnamed Israeli security official told KAN that the final results of the operation remain unclear and that the attack may have failed to hit its primary targets.

Israel conducted the strike on a building in Doha believed to house senior Hamas negotiators.

Following the attack, other Israeli officials, speaking anonymously, claimed several top Hamas figures were killed.

Israeli daily Yedioth Ahronoth, citing security sources, also reported doubts over the strike achieving its main objective, saying the available information does not paint an “optimistic” picture regarding fatal injuries among the primary targets.
