Civilians in the capital Tehran receive training on long-barrel firearms, air defense and multiple rocket launcher systems during drills.
Citizens registered for the "Devoted to Iran" program, launched for public volunteer participation in the war after United States and Israeli attacks, learn how to use weapons, multiple rocket launchers, and air defense systems at a special area set up in Imam Huseyin Square.
Training sessions run six days a week amid continuing tension with the U.S., and women and men attend separately.
Women attend three days a week for three hours per session, while men undergo longer instruction.
Participants also gain experience for possible clashes in populated areas.
Among those taking part in arms instruction, Bita Restegar told Anadolu Agency (AA) that they receive military training to stay ready for a possible invasion and would protect their country until the end. Restegar said they currently study defense, first aid and weapons handling.
Restegar noted that the group improves daily and gains familiarity with many weapons, and pledged to stay in the program to the end.
Zehra Nikuyferd also said she attends the sessions to be ready against the U.S. and "enemies of Islam."
Nikuyferd stated that they will definitely retaliate against U.S. attacks and that she has received instruction on all military subjects.
Fatemeh Kasimi emphasized that they consider the country's territory sacred and will fight the enemy if needed.
Kasimi said she will keep attending for a long period, growing more skilled and knowledgeable each day.
