U.S. President Donald Trump stated he has not contacted Iran for "peace talks" regarding the conflict that began with Israel's attacks on Iran, calling such claims "completely fabricated, fake news."
Trump made a statement on his Truth Social account regarding the escalating tensions between Israel and Iran.
Rejecting claims that he was conducting negotiations with Iran to end regional tensions, Trump stated, "I have not reached out to Iran for 'Peace Talks' in any way, shape, or form. This is just more HIGHLY FABRICATED, FAKE NEWS! If they want to talk, they know how to reach me. They should have taken the deal that was on the table - Would have saved a lot of lives!!!"
Trump continued in his statement, "If they want to talk, they know how to reach me. They should have accepted the deal on the table, which would have saved many lives."
Israeli Defense Minister Israel Katz threatened Iranian leader Ali Khamenei, saying "your end will be like Iraq's former leader Saddam Hussein."
According to a written statement from the Israeli Defense Ministry, Katz met with senior commanders from the Israeli army to assess the situation regarding attacks on Iran.
Referring to yesterday's air attack on state television, Katz noted they would continue attacks on Iran.
Stating he "warned Khamenei" due to Iran's retaliatory attacks, Katz alluded to Iraq's former leader Saddam Hussein without naming him.
"It would be good for Iran to remember the fate of the dictator (Saddam Hussein) in its neighboring country (Iraq) who chose the same path against Israel," Katz said.
International media reports claimed Israel wanted to organize an assassination against Iranian leader Khamenei but US President Donald Trump prevented this.
Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, in his statement to American ABC television yesterday, argued that targeting Khamenei would end the conflicts.
Israel conducted large-scale attacks on June 13 targeting nuclear facilities in various Iranian cities, primarily including the army's top command level.
Iran's Chief of General Staff, Revolutionary Guards General Commander and some senior commanders, along with 9 nuclear scientists, were killed in the attacks, while total civilian casualties were announced as 224.
In Iran's army's retaliation against Israel with ballistic missiles, 24 people were killed and more than 500 were injured.
Many countries, led by Türkiye, condemned Israel.
European countries have begun evacuating their citizens from Israel following Iran's retaliatory attacks in response to Israel's strikes on Iran.
Polish Foreign Minister Radoslaw Sikorski announced they had begun evacuating approximately 300 Polish citizens. Sikorski stated that citizens would be transported by bus to Jordan and would return to their country by plane from Amman.
According to the German News Agency (DPA), the German Foreign Ministry will operate a charter flight from Amman to Frankfurt at noon for the evacuation of its citizens from Israel via Jordan.
German citizens must organize their own land travel from Israel to Amman, while the flight from Amman to Frankfurt will be fee-based. According to the German Foreign Ministry, 4,000 German citizens from Israel and 1,000 from Iran have applied for evacuation.
Irish Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign and Defense Minister Simon Harris announced he would attend an emergency meeting of European Union (EU) foreign ministers today to address the conflict.
Harris noted there are approximately 30 registered Irish citizens in Iran and approximately 200 in Israel.
"I think it's very important today that Europe assesses how we can better evacuate our citizens from Israel and Iran, whether it's safe to do so, and whether the route is appropriate," Harris said.
Netherlands: Dutch Foreign Minister Caspar Veldkamp announced assistance for citizens wanting to leave Israel due to security concerns. The Netherlands set travel advisory for Israel as red code.
Bulgaria: Prime Minister Rosen Jelyazkov stated they were monitoring Bulgarian citizens in Israel and waiting for appropriate evacuation timing.
Croatia and Slovenia: Croatia's Tel Aviv Ambassador said 59 Croatian citizens applied to leave Israel. Slovenia reported that three citizens applied to leave Iran.
United Kingdom: Britain evacuated embassy and consulate staff family members as a precautionary measure.
Czech Republic, Slovakia, Lithuania, North Macedonia: Various countries evacuated citizens via Jordan and Egypt routes, with Slovakia evacuating 73 people and Lithuania beginning evacuation of 125 citizens.
The Greek Cypriot Administration activated a mechanism to assist in evacuating third-country citizens from the Middle East, with Foreign Minister Konstantinos Kombos reporting requests from Portugal and Slovakia.
