U.S. President Donald Trump spoke with the leaders of Israel, Bahrain and the United Arab Emirates as military operations in Iran continued, according to White House press secretary Karoline Leavitt.

In a post on X, Leavitt did not specify which leaders Trump spoke with.

Israel has carried out strikes in Iran alongside the U.S., and Iran has retaliated against U.S. allies in the region.

President briefed on Austin shooting

Leavitt also said Trump has been briefed on a shooting that occurred early Sunday in Austin, Texas.

The shooting left three people dead and injured more than a dozen others. According to sources cited by NBC News, the gunman, identified as a naturalized citizen from Senegal who had lived in the U.S. for 15 years, killed two people and wounded 14 others.

NBC News reported that the shooting is being investigated as a possible act of terrorism, though the investigation remains in very preliminary stages.
