Iran’s Tasnim News Agency reported unconfirmed indications of possible hostile activity at Bahman Pier on Qeshm Island in southern Iran, saying some sources linked explosion sounds heard in Bandar Abbas to a defensive response against two small aircraft.
Tasnim said the claims had not been officially confirmed or announced.
The agency, which is closely affiliated with Iran's Revolutionary Guards, reported that some sources alleged the hostile activity involved the UAE government, describing it as acting on behalf of Israel.
According to Tasnim, some sources suggested that several explosion sounds heard in Bandar Abbas were related to a defensive response to two small aircraft.
The report also cited indications of hostile activity at Bahman Pier in Qeshm.
No official confirmation was provided on the reported activity, the aircraft or the source of the explosions.
Tasnim said the UAE would bear responsibility if its involvement in the alleged hostile action was confirmed.
“If the UAE’s involvement is confirmed, it will pay the price for its hostile action,” the agency said.
The report also warned that, if confirmed, the UAE would face the consequences of the alleged hostile action.
Iranian state television, citing a military source, said that Iran fired missiles at enemy targets in the Strait of Hormuz after the U.S. military attacked an Iranian oil tanker, forcing the damaged enemy forces to retreat.
U.S.-based news channel Fox News claimed that the attacks targeting Iran were carried out by the United States.
No further details were immediately provided in the report.
