Meanwhile, the Mehr news agency reported in a post on Telegram that a school in the city of Khomein in the Iranian province of Markazi was struck, leaving five people dead and seven others injured.

Regional escalation has raged since Israel and the U.S. launched joint attacks on Iran on Feb. 28, killing so far around 1,300 people, including then-Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei.
Tehran has retaliated with drone and missile strikes targeting Israel, along with Jordan, Iraq, and Gulf countries, where it says are targeting “U.S. military assets.”
