The Israeli official told Al-Arabiya that the two countries have aligned on the majority of Syria-related issues.
"We have agreed with Türkiye on most matters related to Syria, and some details remain," the Israeli official said in the interview.
The official indicated that coordination efforts continue as both countries maintain military presence and operations in Syrian territory.
The Israeli official addressed concerns regarding the Druze community in Syria, stating that Israel has made its position clear to community leaders.
"We clarified to the Druze that we will not accept harm to them and they must understand with the Sharia administration," the official said.
This statement reflects Israeli concerns about minority community protection in Syria's changing political landscape.
The Israeli official revealed that the United States has made specific requests regarding military positioning in Syria.
"America asked not to exceed our areas of deployment in Syria until matters become clear," the official stated.
This indicates ongoing coordination between Israel and the US regarding military activities in Syrian territory during the transitional period.
The Turkish Ministry of Defense (MoD) sources confirmed that technical discussions continue regarding the establishment of a Türkiye-Israel deconfliction mechanism.
On questions related to the Türkiye-Israel Deconfliction Mechanism, ministry sources said, "Technical discussions continue in coordination with our counterparts regarding the establishment of a deconfliction mechanism to prevent unwanted incidents in Syria.
As we have stated before, news and information other than statements made by official authorities should not be trusted."
Ministry sources answered journalists' questions following the weekly press briefing.
The Turkish Ministry of National Defense clarified the nature of recent talks with Israel, stressing that the dialogue is not part of a normalization process but a targeted effort to avoid direct conflict during military operations in Syria.
The remarks were made during a press briefing held at the 40th Commando Training Brigade Command in Isparta, where ministry officials addressed multiple security-related topics.
Ministry sources explained that a technical meeting between Türkiye and Israel was recently held in Azerbaijan to explore the establishment of a deconfliction mechanism.
"The first technical meeting on the establishment of a deconfliction mechanism was held in Azerbaijan," the ministry sources said.
"This is not a normalization process, but rather a structure of communication and coordination aimed at ensuring safe and controlled military activities in Syria and preventing direct clashes between the two countries.
It is being developed to reduce tensions, prevent misunderstandings, preserve stability in the region, and eliminate the risk of conflict through mutual briefings on field operations," the ministry stated.
Turkish and Israeli officials held a technical meeting in Azerbaijan to discuss the establishment of a deconfliction mechanism in Syria, the Turkish Ministry of National Defense confirmed during a weekly press briefing.
According to MoD sources, "The first technical meeting was held yesterday (April 9) in Azerbaijan to establish a deconfliction mechanism to avoid unwanted incidents in Syria. Efforts will continue toward establishing this mechanism."
On questions about Israel's recent airstrikes in Syria, the sources reiterated Ankara's stance, stating that "based on the requests of Syria's new government, Türkiye is supporting the enhancement of its defense capabilities and the fight against all terrorist organizations, particularly Daesh."
Evaluations are underway regarding the establishment of training-based military installations.
"Türkiye's only goal is to contribute to the territorial integrity, stability, and security of Syria," the ministry said, adding that all operations are carried out in line with bilateral agreements and international law, without targeting third parties.
