Houston Rockets lost at home to Oklahoma City Thunder in NBA regular season action at Toyota Center.
Thunder won 111 to 91 and claimed their fifth straight victory. The result marked Thunder’s 35th win of the season while Houston recorded its 15th loss.
Thunder built control through balanced scoring:
- Shai Gilgeous Alexander finished with 20 points
- Chet Holmgren added 18 points
- Ajay Mitchell scored 17 points off the bench
Houston relied on Kevin Durant and Alperen Sengun:
- Durant scored 19 points and missed all five 3-point attempts
- Jabari Smith Jr recorded 17 points and 10 rebounds
- Sengun delivered 14 points, 13 rebounds, 5 assists, and 1 block in 32 minutes.
His double-double effort did not change the outcome.
Hornets beat Lakers while NBA-day features 9 games
Charlotte Hornets earned a 135 to 117 away win against Los Angeles Lakers.
LaMelo Ball made nine 3-point shots and matched his career record. He finished with 30 points, 11 assists, and 6 rebounds. Brandon Miller scored 26 points. Miles Bridges added 25 points. Rookie Kon Knueppel posted 19 points.
Lakers saw Luka Doncic record 39 points. LeBron James posted 29 points and nine rebounds. Jake LaRavia added 18 points.
